Expert Finance – Norway (m/w/d)

Our mandator is a world market leader in the processing and alloy of special metals and offers many product variations and extensive services for customers in different industries. For a good 100 years develops in Europe and worldwide active enterprises for the industry, solutions which a lasting use of resources allows.

By next possible appointment, we search an Expert in Finance for the plant locations at the north/west coast of Norway (in Raudsand and Eidsvag, about one hour by car from Molde).

You are responsible for accounting procedures as well as financial planning and analysis in the plant, including monitoring and controlling cost structure and performance objectives in order to identify parameters for potential performance improvements from a financial point of view.

Main accountabilities

  • Representation of the Head of Accounting
  • Technical and disciplinary management of accounts receivable accounting and technical responsibility for accounts receivable accounting
  • Technical and disciplinary management of the payment system and technical responsibility for the payment system in cooperation/coordination with the groups Cash Management/Treasury
  • General ledger accounting (incl. accruals) as well as independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement
  • Taxes incl. Annual Tax Package
  • Preparation and supervision of inventories
  • SAP key user for the FI module and assumption of other key user functions
  • Contact person for auditors, tax auditors and banks
  • Support in group reporting to the parent company, among others Hyperion, IC-Reconciliation, Quarterly Reporting Package, Analytic Template, Taxes incl. Annual Tax Package, etc.
  • Preparation and support of SOX audits (incl. SOX narratives)
  • SAP key user for the FI module and assumption of other key user functions
  • Preparation and participation in balance sheet reviews
  • Transfer pricing documentation

Knowledge, experience and education

  • Successfully completed degree or a corresponding commercial apprenticeship
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the above-mentioned areas
  • Very good EDP skills
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken Norwegian and English
  • Ability to guide people and inspire them for a job
  • First Management experience is an advantage
